It is with great pleasure that i announce the addition of my favorite rider to watch in the Bay Area, and a real homie, John Ivers, to the Franchise squad. Keep your eyes open for Ivers’ part in the new Franchise web video, dropping later this week and an interview in the new issue of Holeshot, as well as photos from Kyle, yours truly, a cool article by homie Zac Costa and this ad featuring Bob Randel. Bob has also got a part in the new video, and lemme tell you, shit is fuckin dope.

Hey guys, been awhile huh? Unfortunately working two jobs doesn’t leave you much time for a whole lot of blogging etc, but in other good news, i’m putting in some work as we speak on a new Franchise web vid. I know it’s hard to believe, but just in case, here’s proof:

Also gettin shit done out here in NYC is fellow Bay Area transplant and Gutter Crew godfather, Grady Corbitt. He’s got a photo feature on Crandall’s site Least Most. Aside from it a look because he’s the homie, his photos are actually really fucking awesome. Click the shot below and peep…

KEP posted a couple photos of Jake and Jeff from a sesh over at the Widowmaker, aka the old THRASHER ramp. Spotted on the brand spanking new Franchise Facebook page which Kyle took the initiative of putting together. Check it out and add us, cuz where would you be without your friends?

The new issue of Holeshot got some love over on Defgrip. Check out the review HERE

As NOT seen on the come up, peep the new HOLESHOT edit that Kyle dialed in with the flip cam that he got for christmas. Featuring bay’s finest, John Ivers, Bob Randal, Squeeks, Kurt Russell, Kent Malama, Julio Tating, Cubby, Zac Costa, and Jake Honesto.

Everyone’s favorite weird-o with a beard-o, Jake Honesto never ceases to amaze me. If its not a crazy move on the bike like this icepick, its with gems like a recent facebook message where he referred to learning how to play guitar while stoned as “training a five legged spider”. God bless you jake.

No matter which coast you’re on one thing is for certain, there is some weird, wild shit to be found on the streets. Example A, this photo that Jake found on the streets of SF:

and this guy that i saw while riding the subway in NYC. Note the severe ashiness of the exposed knee and the plastic bag wrapped right foot. And i thought i had seen some gnarly bums in SF…

I’m not sure why i hadn’t stumbled upon it earlier, but the homie Apollo Cutts has a little web vid series, appropriately titled IN THE CUTTS. Dude is a sick skater and a rad dude, and i’ve been happy to let him spend a couple nights sleeping on my floor after long nights at Delerium in the past. Check it out:

The new year is here, let’s make it another rad one. Big things to come this year…

Like the new DIG photo issue, in which Kyle has some photos he shot published, as well as his headless body on the cover, shot by Sandy Carson. Pick one up.

Emerson over at CIRCUIT whipped up a dope little edit of the homies shredding at Cumby’s. Give ‘er a look:
